Effective, ethical governance and sound financial management are the bedrock upon which a strong and trustworthy city is built. The City of Logan must be a responsible steward of taxpayer funds, plan diligently for the future, and consistently uphold the public trust. As Mayor, I will champion transparent, accountable leadership and fiscally responsible policies.

Logan's quality of life is one of its most defining and cherished attributes, rivaling that of any community. Our city offers a unique and desirable blend of small-town friendliness, rich cultural and educational opportunities, and unparalleled access to the great outdoors. As Mayor, my foremost goal is to preserve and protect what makes Logan special while simultaneously working to make life even better for all our residents. This means ensuring everyone can afford to live and thrive here, strengthening our community bonds, and providing abundant opportunities for recreation, education, and prosperity.

Logan's invaluable natural and built resources—our water, land, air, energy, and infrastructure—are precious assets that demand wise and forward-thinking management. This pillar of my platform is fundamentally about sustainability and responsible stewardship: ensuring we meet today's needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. I will lead Logan to become a recognized Utah leader in environmental stewardship, while simultaneously optimizing our infrastructure and city services for maximum efficiency and resilience.

With decades of leadership in local government and economic development, he brings a collaborative and forward-thinking approach to every role he takes on.An alumnus of Utah State University with both bachelor's and master's degrees, Mark values education, service, and community. Whether mentoring others, volunteering locally, or spending time with family in Utah’s outdoors, he leads with integrity, experience and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
Serving on Logan City Council for the last six years provided Mark with unique knowledge and understanding about Logan City and staff, and invaluable experience with city governance that gives him a distinct advantage as the future Mayor.
